Using Pictures to Assist in Comprehension and Recall

Rebecca Z. Rich

Rebecca Z. Rich, EdD, is an assistant professor in the Department of Teacher Education at Manttattanville College in Purchase, New York. She has had over 20 years of teaching experience in regular and special education in a variety of school and clinical settings. Her current research interests, in addition to teacher preparation, include the development of collaborative models for teaching learning strategies to special needs students of all ages and designing programs for college students with learning disabilities.

Sylvia Blake

Sylvia Blake, EdD, is an assistant professor in the Department of Teacher Education at Manhattanville College. She has had over 20 years of classroom and administrative experience in reading, writing, and the language arts. In addition to teacher preparation, her current research interests include the development of collaborative models for teaching learning strategies to students of varying ability levels.
