In their textbook titled, Designing and Implementing Mathematics Instruction for Students with Diverse Learning Needs (2006), Pamela Hudson and Susan P. Miller present material that connects the standards developed by the National Council for Teachers of Mathematics (1989) with effective, research-based instructional practices. The material covered in this textbook is important for general and special education teachers instructing students grades K through 12, with and without disabilities. Similarly, the information presented is useful for instructors in postsecondary education settings. A review of the Hudson and Miller (2006) textbook is presented here. This review provides detail regarding the content of the textbook as well as its ease of use.
